What sets us apart from all of the other pelvic floor physical therapy clinics?

Why call ourselves Duality?

We believe that our lives and surroundings are ruled by trying to achieve balance from opposing forces.

  • Light versus shadow

  • Femininity versus masculinity

  • Soft versus hard

  • Strong versus flexible

  • Mind versus body

These opposing, yet complementary, forces act upon each other to create Duality. It is acknowledging that these forces can be interconnected and interdependent… both circumstances are needed for balance in our bodies… especially for our pelvic floor.

For instance, we need our:

  • Pelvic floor to be strong to stop leakage AND we need it to be relaxed to poop.

  • Core to be stable when we are going for a deadlift PR AND we need it to relax when we are trying to go to sleep.

  • Fight, flight, freeze system to kick in when we are running a marathon AND we need our rest, digest system to kick in when we are trying to have sex.

Understanding Duality helps us to be reflective in our lives, giving us more possibilities to achieve abundance.

Our core values

  • Earth: our deep-seated beliefs and values that ground us to give us stability

  • Ecosystem: our understanding that our organization is interconnected with our community and depend on each other for success

  • Seasons: our acceptance of change and willingness to embrace the different stages of growth and evolution that come with time

Our vision

To create a world where referrals for pelvic health concerns are a priority throughout the lifespan. No matter if you are a pregnant person who is having pain or a menopausal person who is having difficulties with hot flashes, guidance from a pelvic floor physical therapist can greatly improve quality of life.

We also want to create a world where the medical field is actively reducing childbirth induced trauma and maternal mortality rates. This is especially urgent within the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.

We believe that collaboration within the community is key to achieving this vision and we are committed to working with healthcare providers, educators, public health officials, and community organizations to reduce racial, financial, and accessible disparities in pelvic health care.

We envision a safe and inclusive space where ALL genders, sexes, races, sexual orientations, physical abilities, and backgrounds feel empowered to take control of their pelvic health and overall well-being.
