Fueling Your Journey: Essential Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy and Postpartum Recovery… Bison Steak, Veggies, Quinoa, and Feta Dip!

It’s dinner time with bison steak, veggies, feta dip, and quinoa/rice blend! As always, these meals are highly recommend anytime, BUT, is perfect to help fuel your prenatal or postpartum journey. Here’s why:

🙌 Bison steak has tons of protein and B12 which are good for your muscle development and baby’s nervous system development.
🙌 Mushroom has many types of antioxidants and micronutrients including folate, choline, and selenium.
🙌Beets have iron and folate which are super important for mama’s energy levels and baby’s development.
🙌Greek yogurt and feta dip has protein and healthy fats which is important for keeping blood sugars level. And it’s delicious 😝.
🙌 Quinoa/rice blend has protein and fiber which is needed for energy and gut health.

Ingredients
3-6 ounces of bison steak
5-10 mushrooms of choice
2 red beets
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 TBSP stone ground mustard
1 pouch of microwaveable quiona/rice blend
2 glugs of olive oil
Salt, garlic powder, and pepper

Steps

  1. Place 1 skillet on burner at medium to medium high heat

  2. Place a skillet on another burner at medium to medium high heat

  3. Cut your veggies

  4. Once skillet 1 is at the right temperature, add 2 glugs of olive oil to the skillet, place bison steak in the skillet, and cook to desired temperature (you can also grill the steak!)

  5. Once skillet 2 is at the right temperature, add 2 glugs of olive oil to the skillet, then add the veggies, and cook to desired tenderness

  6. While the food is cooking, in a bowl combine seasonings, Greek yogurt, and mustard

  7. Heat quinoa/rice mix

  8. Add salt and pepper to taste

  9. Enjoy!
